• The role of developer is to perform activities related to development, code review, deployment and support to new and existing application. The developer will be assigned for maintenance activity of new or existing Barclays software application and information system.

Barclays Developer Fresher Job: Responsibilities –

• Understand agile development methodology and practice it in day-to-day work.
• Highly active and understand the impact assessment of change/incidents ticket against applications/product within domain.
• Application Development and should ensure devops principles are adopted in applications.
• Candidates are responsible for high quality code writing and for story-based development & unit test and adherence to all coding standards.
• Document all work in accordance with agreed standards, and with re-use in mind.
• Report progress against assigned activities in a timely manner.

Barclays Developer Fresher Job: Skills Requirements –

• Minimum qualification –Engineering Graduate or MCA (or equivalent degree)
• Must have experience of working in an IT project environment preferably in banking and financial sector.
• Must have Strong skills in Object Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts, Core Java 8/11, Java Enterprise Edition 6 (e.g. EJB, JMS, JPA, MDB, JAX-RS) and other middleware frameworks such as Apache Camel and Spring, multi-threading and unit testing.
• Must have Strong understanding of application server configurations.
• Hands on knowledge on RESTFul API.
• Hands on knowledge on any one RDBMS
• Must have strong skill in Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and System integration.
• Must have strong skill in build process such as Maven.
• Understand of agile development methodology and practice it in day-to-day work.
• Responsible for high quality code that achieves consistent SQALE A rating with no technical debt within SonarQube.
• Must understand Kafka/MQ integration.
